Model your system of interest – Visualising Complexity
In this workshop we start off by discussing complexity and how it has increased dramatically over the last few decades, giving rise to the need for Model-based Systems Engineering as the natural evolution of traditional, or document-base Systems Engineering.
We shall discuss how we can use modelling techniques to identify and visualise complexity in our Systems. This will include considering how key modelling concepts, such as: simplification, levels of abstraction, structure and behaviour, consistency, and connection to reality.
This workshop will be of benefit to anyone interested in modelling accidental and essential complexity in any form of System, whether it is a technical System, quality System, fundamental approach, or any other type of complex System.
Attendees will come away with a set of pragmatic rules and techniques that they can apply to their day-to-day lives.
